No Right of Withdrawal for Digital Products Once Access Has Been Granted

Important Notice: The right of withdrawal expires for digital products as soon as the download has commenced or access has been granted — provided the buyer has expressly agreed in advance and confirmed that they consent to the performance of the contract before the withdrawal period expires, and that they thereby forfeit their right of withdrawal.

Legal Basis

Pursuant to Art. 16(m) of Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU, there is no right of withdrawal for the supply of digital content not supplied on a tangible medium where performance has begun with the consumer's express prior consent and acknowledgment that they thereby lose their right of withdrawal.

For buyers residing in Germany, this corresponds to Section 356(5) of the German Civil Code (BGB).

What Does Not Qualify as a Reason for Return

Once access has been granted or the download has taken place, no refund will be issued for:

— "I don't like it" or "it didn't meet my expectations"
— "Wrong purchase" or "I made a mistake"
— Incompatibility with specific software not listed as a requirement in the product listing
— Change of mind after purchase

Exception: Technical Defect

Should a purchased file be technically defective (e.g., corrupt, unable to open, download not possible), a working replacement file will be provided upon notification to info@dominium-game.com. In this case, the right to remedy applies — not a refund.
